HAND REJUVENATION OVERVIEW
Hands are one of the first areas to show signs of aging. They are exposed to the environment and the sun every day, causing the skin on the skin back of the hands to become thinner and age more quickly than other parts of the body. Whether you have wrinkles, age and brown spots, dry and rough skin or "transparent" thin skin and bulging veins, these can all be corrected through the appropriate treatment.

TREATMENT FOR WRINKLED AND SPOTTED HANDS
If you are experiencing wrinkling, brown spots or dry / rough skin on your hands, Trillium Creek offers two laser treatments to address these issues.

The first laser treatment that is beneficial to the hands is Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), a quick and comfortable light treatment with little downtime. The areas treated stimulate collagen, lighten brown spots, and improve the overall appearance of the skin. Due to the fact that only light is used, there is little downtime.

The second laser treatment for the hands is Portrait® Skin Regeneration. The Portrait® system uses nitrogen plasma, a modern energy source that alters structures below the surface of the skin without actually touching the skin. Portrait® Skin Regeneration improves skin texture, diminishes wrinkles, and lightens brown spots. In addition, over time you will continue to see improvement due to the fact the Portrait® Skin Regeneration works below the surface of the skin and continues to generate new skin, creating collagen for continuous improvement of wrinkles and skin tone.

If you have younger looking skin and are in the age range of 35-50 you might only need one treatment with either of these therapies, which will be determined by your Trillium Creek medical professional. If you are over 50 you will most likely require one or two treatments with each laser.

TREATMENT FOR DEEPER WRINKLES ON THE HANDS
If you have deep wrinkles on your hands, we recommend Sculptra®, a filler developed for use on the face that also works well on hands. Using a tiny needle and precise placement, your Trillium Creek medical professional will inject the filler into your hands to add volume for a smoother appearance.

TREATMENT FOR BULGING VEINS ON THE HANDS
Bulging veins on the hands are most often treated with Sclerotherapy, which involves an injection of sodium chloride directly into the vein. Over time, the vessel turns into scar tissue and fades away.

Due to the fact that only a fraction of the skin is directly treated, there is little downtime.
