Ohio Holistic Medicine (OHM) is very pleased to offer our patients the benefits of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) under the direction of Dr. Leonard Torok.

The practice of TCM consists of rebalancing an energetic disturbance of the body. The theoretical basis for treatment in TCM is based upon the concept that an energetic disturbance is the underlying cause of a patients symptoms. Symptoms are understood to be the bodys expression at a physical level of this energetic disturbance.

TREATMENT DURATION
The amount of time required for TCM to be effective varies with the condition, the remedy and the overall health of the patient. Acute conditions can often be resolved using TCM in 1-3 treatments. Chronic problems take longer to resolve, requiring 1-2 months on average. This usually involves 2 visits per week for the first 2-3 weeks, then treatment once per week thereafter.
